Baylis Plant Acquired

Hunt & Rogers Automotive succesfully acquire's the Baylis plant from Wagon Plc in April 2004. The all asset purchase came with a healthy 4.5m order book with many blue chip accounts including Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, MG Rover, Powertrain, Visteon, Johnson Controls and Denso Manufacturing. A further 1.5m of business was also transferred from the Tyseley operation. The acquisition open's up many new avenues as the business aims for a 10m plus turnover within the next 5 years. The new business currently exports around 1.5m to many countries including India, China, Mexico, Chez Republic, Germany, Spain amongst others.

Site Redevelopment

Group announces re-development of existing 40,000 sqft site and decision to acquire new site in 1st quarter 2004 to accomodate new business and meet plans to achieve 10m sales pa.

Company secures 0.75m business, to supply major 1st tier automotive company, for welded assemblies. Expansion of IT system, continued expansion of workforce. Company increases turnover to 2.5m.

Expansion Programme

Moved from 8,000sqft to 40,000 sqft, following new business and expansion, with the purchase of additional equipment. The workforce and turnover has neen doubled and the buildings sector business added to our portfolio.

Investment Programme

Company formed and operating from a 8,000 sqft site in Small Heath Birmingham, concentrating on wheel centre manufacturing for the leisure industry. Additional business secured in the automotive sector, such as Fleetguard and Wagon. Shortly after meets registration to QS9000.
